FAQ
Do you shoot weddings?
While I love shooting weddings, I only take on a handful every year as a way to set boundaries for my own family life. There are so many incredible wedding photographers in our area and I would love to share with you my personal favorites!
Where do you do your sessions?
Maryland is BEAUTIFUL. Give me alllll the fields, woods and rolling hills! I have a handful of favorite spots in Washington + Frederick counties with beautiful scenery and perfect light. However, I'm always open to new locations. I dream of one day photographing families in all of the western national parks!
Did you go to school for photography?
Nope. My degree is in Journalism. As my interest in photography grew, I was determined to teach myself how to shoot manually. There are so many resources online! I then started attended workshops and investing in more learning opportunities online. I still believe the bulk of my learning came from second shooting for other wedding photographers!
Do you offer mini sessions?
I love the idea of mini sessions during the holidays; such a great way for families to get updated pictures quickly and on budget. However, I've tried the different "set-ups" and decor and have determined that it just doesn't fit my photographic style. Instead, mini sessions will be in a beautiful outdoor location with good light and will showcase your family, no fancy set needed! Mini sessions will be offered 3-4 times a year.
Do I have to order prints through you?
Nope, I don't require it. You will have the option to order prints through your gallery, which are printed by a professional photo lab. The quality is unmatched and it's so easy to do!
